The Pumpkin Ball |

Since its inception, this black-tie gala has raised over $3 million, after expenses, to benefit our region’s youngest and most vulnerable citizens thanks to the generous community. Your support of Vanessa Behan will make the 20th annual event as successful as years past to support the critical work they do to provide services for children and families in the region.

Vanessa Behan helps parents who are having difficulty providing safe shelter and care for their children. They may be dealing with issues as complex as substance abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. Or, they may just be exhausted and worn-out from the demands of parenting.

Vanessa Behan’s primary services are:

24-hour emergency child care for infants and children

Parent education

Crisis counseling for parents

Referrals to other community agencies

How much are tickets?

Individual tickets to the event are $175. Table sponsorships are available starting at $2,000.

I’m interested in becoming a sponsor. Who can I contact for more information?

Yes, sponsorships are still available! Contact Lacey Renner at lacey.renner@vanessabehan.org for more information.

What is the expected attire for the event?

Formal attire is recommended. Ladies generally wear ball gowns, and men wear tuxedos or suits. Please see our photo gallery for examples.

I am interested in volunteering. Who should I contact?

We will need many volunteers for set-up, night-of, and tear-down. Our volunteer sign-up link is LIVE. If you need more information, please reach out to Amber Killingbeck at amber@vanessabehan.org.

How do I make reservations?

Registration will open in late July and a link will be provided on this page. Previous guests of the ball will also receive an email invitation. Click here to join our email list!

Will I receive tickets in the mail?

No. There are no printed tickets for the event. Check in at event registration when you arrive to receive your table assignment, bidder number and event program.

Do you have a special room rate for guests who want to stay at The Davenport Grand?

We do! Please visit Marriott’s Event Reservations to check availability for our block. Last day to book for the special rate is Wednesday, September 25, 2024
