Children's Waiting Room

Giving kids a safe, nurturing place to play away from the courtroom.

Vanessa Behan offers free drop-in childcare for anyone with business on the Spokane County Courthouse campus. The Children’s Waiting Room is designed to protect children from potential harm caused from exposure to legal proceedings or court business.

  • Children ages newborn to 12 are welcome.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-12 p.m. & 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. (call for exceptions).
  • Parents and caregivers are encouraged to call prior to use: 509.960.0532.
